Dead Birds and Dead Fish?

I’m not one to buy in to the apocalypse theories and all this 2012 end of days nonsense. HOWEVER if there was one thing which could convince me that things might be getting a bit weird, it would be thousands of birds dropping dead from the skies and millions of fish washing up dead on coast lines.

Thankfully, that isn’t likely to happen. OH WAIT.

I’ve been following this since new years eve when it started. Here are some links to the recorded cases so far.

New years eve 1000 birds died and were found all over Arkansas. Various news sources and experts blamed it on the loud fireworks scaring them to death, which isn’t unrealistic. I was happy to leave it at that.

Then this happened:

A day or so later, 100,000 fish floated dead to the surface of the Arkansas river. “At least it was in the same place” I thought.

Until:

Hundreds of dead starlings, red-winged blackbirds and brown-headed cowbirds lie along the side of La. 1 near New Roads. The birds were found dead and dying Monday along a half-mile stretch of the road.

Another 500 dead birds fell out of the sky in Louisiana. “Well, thats America for you” I thought.

WRONG AGAIN:

I’m sure there is a very logical explanation for the whole thing. Maybe this kind of thing happens all the time and the news doesn’t think its sensational enough. All I know is that I’m stocking up on canned goods and fuel. Just in case…
